The Law of the Harvest and MyMarketer

After five years of blogging on anything and everything related to the Internet, MyMarketer has undergone a new focus and look. The focus is geared around my philosophy of how to be successful with web marketing.

Over the last decade I have seen, and have been guilty of participating in, many get quick or get rich marketing campaigns. It is a rare day that one, if any, have succeeded to bring the desired results to those who participated in them.

However, contrast these glitzy empty marketing strategies, with the marketing principles surrounding the laws of the harvest. Time and time again I have seen people climb to the top of their game and achieve their marketing goals by following the first law of the harvest: You Reap What You Sow.

My Blog Pitched Revisited

My Blog Pitched Revisited
MyMarketer is continually growing and developing. Due to this fact, I have added updated notes at the bottom of this post to represent this growth.

pitch-confusion Last Monday I did a post talking about my Blog Pitch. I concluded that my pitch was “Understanding Internet Marketing.” I have had this as my blog tagline for months and have worked hard to stick with this as my mantra.

However, speaking this morning to my friend, Dan, has pushed me into rethinking MyMarketer. Both Dan and I are a part of a small web marketing team with a large corporation. We have been pounding away with this company websites’ for a couple of years.

I actually started at this company as their SEO expert and then was able to have Dan and another friend, Jared, hired on. At first, all three of us were tripping over each other. We all heavily specialized in SEO, but we also all had strengths in other areas of web marketing.

My Blog Pitch—Understanding MyMarketer.net

blog-pitch It has been an interesting journey trying to find the purpose of MyMarketer.net. If you look at some of my earlier posts, you will see that I am all over the board. Mixing personal, with hobby, and professional. It actually took me a year to really find my voice with mymarketer—and then I sold it.

I thought it would be easy to pick up my voice with another domain, but I was wrong. First, it took me sometime, and several domains, before I could find a place to call home. However, it wasn’t mymarketer.net. I worked hard to find the unique voice for that domain.

Finally, when I found it, the company that had purchased MyMarketer decided to give it back to me—and I started the process all over again.
