dont forget some of my favorites:

1. if you imitate someone else, you will make money; even if it is amazon or ebay.

2. if you just find something to sell from China, India, or mass market dropship directories like Doba, then you have a business that will make money.

3. even if it's a good idea, it will automatically make sense to the rest of the world.

Mike- Your welcome, I really do like your blog and your software!

Jen- I agree, nothing is as easy as it seems. However, it definitely worth the work.

Thom- Thanks for your readership, and support. I might take your advice and see where to summit this post. It was a lot of fun to write.

I have been reading your blog for a while...always good...but this post is GREAT. You hit on areas where so many newbies get nailed.

I think you should take this post and turn it into an ebook and sell it for $49.99. Ok, no...but you should submit it as a guest article to other blogs, magazines and business journals...as it is good stuff.

This just goes to show that nothing is really as simple as it seems. Although we would all like to believe in it... Thanks for sharing these skunks with us. They are very helpful in busting out potential trappers. By the way, the picture above is adorable. Skunks aside.
